this has got to be my favorite FAR celebration piece yet...I love the feel to this piece...so much energy, so colorful...the composition is perfect...love the balloons to the left, the cheering people to the right, and the two dancing on the bottom...superb piece...well done and thanks for sharing

I missed you in that contest. I was sure you would come up with something since the contest was open to all media.
There is more missing than two legs. The blue parts of the rainbow disappear in the upload because I had to resize to 72 ppi [original 400] and reduce the contrast to get a halfway quality. You know everyone has trouble with the quality of uploads ever once in a while. It does not matter to me, better that than not posting it. The original meaning of the piece is intact which is the most important to me. The problem is until you upload you do not know you have a problem. When you know it, its to late. As host of the contest, I waited to the last minute with my own upload for obvious reason.

Could you have modified the image and uploaded another? Oh, well you contributed a good piece and that is what is important. Good luck with the contest and bravo for organizing it. I have been away so didn't contact FA until very recently.

That is the modified image. The original has to much glare from the gold and the accentuated outlines when resized. Maybe I should work at a smaller format, but it would not be the same. If I work 8 x 6 inches I have 100 brush sizes but when I work 32 x 24 I have 4000. If I work with 72 ppi it looks OK on the screen, but would only allow 6 x 8 prints at its best.

[I am a bit disappointed, The entries a great but only 14 of them is not a good crop. It doesn't put a god light onto our members.]
