One of the great images of in my mind was walking through a field of Poppy's in Provence. Here your ability to bring the field down to its singular beauty is priceless. This watercolour-like presentation goes to the core of what art can do and that is to transcend this world and take us in to be a part of the grandeur of life itself. There is a lovely movie that just was released in the states called (="words and pictures" about two teachers ... one an artist and one literature. Enough said. It is also amazing when one thinks of this beauty that can also be a beast .. Thanks Annie I LOVE THIS ! Kindest tom

I think what I love above all about your work is your mastery of light. This is no exception. I like the poppy itself although I would have preferred a little more detail in the petals. What really makes this is the unopened flower to the left. The light here is wonderful with every hair being wonderfully backlit. This immediately adds mood and emotion to the piece. Well done.

Beautifully taken especially the red against the super green background. All those hairs on the poppy bud and stem. Looks like a Flanders poppy. I only just bought poppy plants this afternoon. Super light, nicely framed and a pleasure to view. sandy

Good job holding on and taking the photo at the same time. Nice attention to detail. The red is very intense and pops against the green b/g. Shadow on the poppy takes away from the over all shot. Framed well. I like the bud beside it.

Well Annie like what you have done with this even if you can't remember. The b/g design allows the detail on the bud stem to stand out like an insect with a thousand legs. The bud and centre flower holds interest with the colour and patterns. Good colour harmony and well framed Thanks for sharing
