This is an amazing work of photography. The detail of the stamen is what my eye catches as the proof that this is a photo. Other than that, it looks like a painting. You have maintained the coloring and sustained the balance with a lovely finished work.

Iceland poppies are magic to me and take me back to my early childhood when my mother used to have them flowering. The furry little buds with their graceful curving stems are a great subject from the artist point of view and the fact that they bloom in winter is a real plus. Today I was walking across our town square and the poppies just like these were blooming.We stopped to admire them --and here they are.

Beautiful capture of these poppies Anne. I love this style of poppy, they don't grow well here, I figure it must be the salt air, because if they are from Iceland cold certainly wouldn't be an issue, lol.
