This is digital? Amazing! You perfectly captured the mood of the final chase towards the bridge. The only other thing you could've added is a pumpkin flying towards his head. The colors are perfect for this scene, dark and moody. Your composition is great, just right for this contest.

Interesting composition, with its story notes.
Just not totally sure about the horse's legs- looks like its about to collapse.
Like the technique on the background building, and having the silhouette of the tree and horse & rider. Overall nice work. B

Bravo! The Horse is about to collapse. Its in the story. Horse and rider [Ichabod] are in panic, exhausted. The are on flight, hunted by the headless horseman.

What a great job creating the moody atmosphere of the legendary story. Beautiful use of light and shadow. I really like the natural transition into the bright light of the village from left to right and front to back. Also the compositional spatial balance between the rider, tree and village is perfect. I like the darkness and the bright area of the painting. Mysterious and story telling. Nice silhouette of the tree, rider and horse. Great b/g texture. Very nicely done!
