No, you have done the perfect composition (IMHO) with the silhouette and reflection in the vase. This is very creative and ignites our imaginations. The feeling one gets is of warm tropical sands in a land far away from reality.
I like the balance shown and that diagonal slant of the beach on which the vase is sitting on further gives a dynamic feel. The pop of light, or rather the varying opacities you used is brilliant. The strong light of the vase and the patterns shown within delight the eye, it is visual caviar, then the setting sun in the background further pulls but it is a quiet pull, a gentle pull in a less bright hue - to me that shows compositional, artistic mastery.
The whole presentation then has a frame to it that exists of the sky (those dark clouds) the bottom sand and a slighter darkness at the sides. And a pencil frame to hold everything in.
This shows not only top of the shelf creativity but mastery of your medium.

This is really beautiful digital art, and I think the background colors of the sky and sea are spectacular. I especially like the fine glow in the glass vase and the fine reflections from palm trees. The silhouettes are standing so sharp and well defined, and the placement of the sun could not have been better.
