That happens so often to me too. I take a gazillion images of one thing and it is the first one that always is best.

Nice sharpness on this plant and having the echo of other blooms seen in the frame makes for a well chosen compositional style.

PS My husband and I watched a grrrrrrrrreat movie last night called WHAT WE DO IN THE SHADOWS. It's a documentary film on three Dracula's that live in Wellington. It is estimated that there are approximately 30,000 Dracula's living in Wellington, and that is not counting werewolves...the movie was HYSTERICAL...my stomach ached from laughing so hard. Do get it if you can....it is simply ridiculous.
