This is a wonderful drawing. Because he is instantly recognizable, it means you have done a great job of recreating the picture. I love the soft lines and brown hues. Thank you for sharing.

Always eager to see what you've uploaded when I see your name in my messages. Again, this one does not disappoint! This very young drawing of John Wayne is amazing (and you did not have to bother with drawing wrinkles!) Amazing to me: I can almost feel the texture of his hat -and- I can see the pores of his skin. You rock.

I agree that the light and shadows on this one make it iconic in look and appeal. There is simply great contrast and the proportionality is right on the mark. There is a chiseled look to his features that fits the personality like hand to glove. Right on! Great work!

Once again you have drawn an outstanding portrait of John Wayne.In a lot of work this amount of negative space is frowned upon by a few artists here but I don't think it should matter when you have drawn a portrait like this.I think that the lighting in this is excellent as it seems to carve his face perfectly.This is one of your best yet!
