From your outstanding drawing I'd say this man is not only a 'Giant' but a 'Moody Giant'.
Your use of the the pencil is remarkable an all the more so as you are self taught ! Since joining FAR I have admired your work and this image is right up there with the rest - it is flawless - congratulations, well done. Regards Ronnie

Your artistic talent is outstanding. Do you do portrait drawings professionally? I work from photographs too (I paint landscapes) but only from my own. I am fearful of copyright violation otherwise. The light and shadow in this portrait is exceptional. How much time do you spend on work like this?

Hi Will. Yes I do portrait drawings. It takes between two and three days to complete a drawing. Thank you for your review, and your interest.

Of course this is a five star drawing! The eyes are the most compelling part of your artwork -- and this one is no exception (but, then again, his eyes WERE wonderful!) Great work with the hair and shirt collar -- both could have easily been overdone -- but, as usual, your deft hand created a truly beautiful and balanced work.

This really a great portrait of James Dean from the Giant.You know I usually have some comments Linda, but this time I don't see I a thing I would have done different or corrected. As always this done paying good attention to details, and it is such fine contrast between dark and light.
I also think the very tight framing is working well which means a well composed drawing. It is a truly lovely and well done drawing.
