You succeeded in capturing her beauty as you do in all your artwork Linda. Your composition is so good on this piece leaving adequate negative space all around. The light source is strong on her and we see that and the tonal ranges you have within the depth and detail pops this and makes it very realistic. I hope you are selling your work. I know Americans are in love with their movie stars and worship them as if they were deities, so hopefully they are buying up your work.

This is a very nice drawing of Marilyn. My new niece has Monroe as her middle name after this pretty lady. You have captured her well in this. Definitely have caught the emotion on her face.

As normal, I just love all of your Marilyn drawings. She of course is known as a sex symbol, at least by the male gender.
But you always give her a different side. You use her face and eyes to tell a different story. In this case, the fantastic gaze, the fingers touching her front teeth, all work together to make the image what it is.
The minimalist dress seems to accentuate more the smooth skin and wavy hair.
In an photo, one might say the highlights are clipped. But in a drawing, that only serves better to highlight the important features of her face.
Exceedingly well done once again!

Oh, Wow, Ronnie. Of course you can ask me anything. This particular drawing took me two days. I went out into the bright sunlight to get Marilyn's face drawn to the best of my ability. It was so exciting to draw her, as she is so very beautiful, and spending time with such beauty is amazing. Thank you for this wonderful review, and a 5 1/2 stars blessing is fantastic.

What more can be said about Ms. Bickston's work. She is a superb artist and seems to have a penchant for very realistic portrayal of movie stars. This is another example of her talent and I remain in awe of her abilities and her wonderful sense of artistic presentation. I enjoyed viewing this picture.
