Nicely done, great color - contrasting and complimentary background and image. Your technique has beautiful line, light and shadow. Your subject jumps out at the viewer with a fantastic facial expression. Well done, good luck in the contest and thanks for sharing.

This is a lovely pastel of a beautiful dog. I like the angle of the head, the eyes, nose, mouth and ears all are in harmony with the angles of the body. That is so important. The muted shading of the back of the body is fine. If I wer to suggest and change, trust me I know how hard that is with pastel, I work with them too, I would detail(this is not so hard to do) the front of the body beneat the face. I realize the focus is on the face but, for me the softness is a tad distracting. The other suggestion I have and feel is necessary to make this a stellar piece is abofe the head. Straint strokes ruin the lovely image. If, perhaps you could just blent them that would make it a 5 in my estimation. AS ALWAYS, the author/artist holds full sway

OH this is so softly done. He is adorable, you surely caught the tenderness and innocence in this little fellow . I love your colours choices and the look on his little face is priceless. I just want to pat him.
