I am sure Mom and Pop would say he is so pretty and cute. What a different and kind of strange looking little baby. Good frame and focus with a reflection as we discover a new big world.

Awwww..he really would be cute if it weren't for his bald head! Is it supposed to be bald or has he been abused by larger birds? Your composition is excellent. The initial impact for me is the coloration of your scene blending in with the duckling. It accentuates the color of his face and beak. I always look to see if the eye is clear. This is a tough one since the surrounding colors are those that tend to over saturate themselves. I have enjoyed this very much. Great job. Sincerely, Rebecca

Well.. I tell him/her she WILL be beautiful! LOL I looked up the Eurasian Coot and it is remarkable the transformation this little guy/gal will end up almost all black with a small white patch on her head and a white bill!

It's mother thinks it's very beautiful poor little Coot I'd say is no long out of it's Egg! It's down barely dried out & it's already swimming & casting a shadow reflection on the mirror still water that is reflecting the overcast sky above. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting with superb camera techniques with razor sharp focus.
