This is a beautiful sunset reflection. :) The gentle ripple in the water does create an "abstract" effect that is fun to view. The lighting is good and colours are rich.

The only reason for my 1/2 star deduction is due to composition and framing. I think that because your focus here is "abstract water", I would have framed this in the camera to not include the pier. The pier in this frame is so tightly cropped at the top, that it comes across as an afterthought. (this might be more personal preference when viewing and others may not see it that way)

I find this piece very moving emotionally. Serenity is perhaps the best one that comes to mind. The time of the day is suggested to be sunset, but it doesn't matter because the colors and shadows are the catalyst. Colors, darks and textures ..good job

Very good entry for the contest. I like the angle you used for this with the walkway cutting across the frame and the water showing the lovely reflection from the setting sun and the ripples making interesting patterns.

This is actually a very calming photograph. I love the hint of a red reflection in the water. The dock looks so inviting. "Come, sit and put your feet in the water" is calling to me. Good luck in the contest and a very good job.
