This baby is beautiful and captured so well by you in this photo. I would love to give you a higher ranking, but alas I am out of 5 stars, but just know it is worth every one of those stars. Fantastic job

Well, my dear friend, how can I live up to a review this grand. I am blushing. Thank you so much.

I love this! The lines are so soft and the baby seems so lifelike I feel like I could reach in and touch her soft supple skin. Love the headpiece and how you have her snuggled down into the stuffed animal the way babies do when they encounter a new toy. It seems that all they have on their little minds is to mash their little faces down into all of that softness.
Excellent use of shading and love the composition. Wow is all I have left in my vocabulary!
Thank you for sharing,Oh by the way Linda I noticed your entry is signed. I hate to see you not win because of that oversite. Maybe you could edit it and somehow crop the signature out

Thank you. You aren't supposed to know who drew this picture. But I am glad that you do.

This is so very precious, Linda. I can sit and study this for a long time..not only because of your talented hand with your pencils, but because of the characteristic posture of this beautiful child. From the little, fleshy creases on her arms to that little finger that she has sticking out, to her baby fine hair and sweet pudgy cheek. You have surely pleased her parents beyond words. Thank you for sharing...as always, your work is stunning. ~Rebecca

This so beautiful and lifelike, The detail, the shading, the feeling of joy when the viewer looks at it, and so perfectly titled too. With all the perfection of it there is one thing that kind of hit my eye, the right wrist doesn't have much for a skin crease, and as perfect as all the other creases are in this precious drawing it kind of stands out.. But all in all this is so awesome.

Thank you Valenteana. I did notice that darn wrist, and I am going to work on it today. I have to send it to the parents within the next few days, so I am going to get all the kinks out. I love ya girl.

Blinders are of no use here. This is stunning all way through, L! The composition is absolutely gorgeous, technique jaw-dropping, every detail drawn with amazing precision. The baby girl you have so wonderfully portrayed looks tiny, weak, fragile and unable to understand the world, but you made us see her big and strong heart. She can't take care of herself, but she will take care of her toy. Her gentleness, confidence and the need to protect that puppy in such a loving way makes her utterly adorable.
I've always felt there are two kinds or artists in this world - the first kind are fairly talented people who are able to sit down at any time and create a masterpiece without putting many feelings into it. The second kind are people for whom art means spiritual survival - a pencil is not only a tool, but an extension of their soul. I'd say you are one of those artists.
I'd give you ten stars if I could, but unfortunately I only have five left.
