Hi Mark,
I love this and think it would make a great Christmas card.The little girl and her dog look so peaceful sleeping by the fireplace.At first,I didn't notice the cat and the mouse also snoozing.The animals must be sleeping really hard as Santa's cookies and milk are waiting for him when he "drops in" for a visit.Have a great Thanksgiving Mark~

So glad you do not have to work on Christmas Day this year. YEA,,,, The mouse cracks me up. I always wondered, how Santa could come down the chimney with a fire going hmmm. Looks like Santa has already come, and drank his Milk, but left the cookies. :0

I know you took time in rendering this very meticulous & well thought out masterpiece!
You see, the girl seems to be smelling the roasted turkey that's why she look stiff and can't rest her sleepy head on the dog! LoL!
I know you're painting this from memory, right? Wrong!
Nice compositional style, colors, details, structures, textures of the floor, log, fire, bricks, gifts, Christmas tree, dog food, dog water, etc.
I like the funny but cute inclusion of the cat & mouse!
