I read the piece you put with the piece and I loved it.
Absolutely great detail but then, as I put in my poem of Who Is Your Favorite Painter? You are the best.

Or, as the saying goes: "On the other hand....she had warts." I rarely comment on art because I just don't know what it takes to produce this kind of moving image. It is certainly attention grabbing and hauntingly beautiful.

I'm so glad I had a six for this. Your talent always amazes me. You put such expression in your work. And your poetry writing style is beyond compare. You are truly a talented person. I might goof off with you but there is no kidding around about your work of art. It always amazes and intrigues me. Always wanting more.
Another fantastic work .

Comment from Life is but a dream.
Raoul, this image screamed at me on the thumbnail version and when enlarged I got a chill down my spine, and the poem is about me (or could be).
What makes this such a knock out is the handling of the lines, the contours, the jigsaw like pieces that all seem to fall iinto place to give the feel of a very tormented soul....yet the eyes, the eyes are crisp and tell a story that although this face has gone through many travails in her life she is connected and strong and unshakeable as the world seemingly crumbles around her.
That spot of light source falling on her face and hand yet the eyes are in shadow, hidden behind a tumble of hair....very present and strong....this is the magic of chiaroscuro, you captured it.
There is not a thing ugly about this piece....it is stellar and highly emotive for me. I love the darkness the shadows and the brightness. I love her brave spirit shining through. I love the mess of lines of your drawing yet how it comes into focus.
My good man....you are way above and beyond ....and I have seen many a post you have put up....I always get taken with your work but this one has touched me on a sixth sense....that place in each of us where the soul dwells and I connect with this art. It cries out to me.

Why, thank you Olga for this effervescent review. I am glad this resonates with you as it means the effect I felt whilst sketching this is being shared. I am very flattered - to a degree that shouldn't be permissible on a 'holy' day :) Have a wonderful Sunday

I tend to go on and on and on and on and on when I get stimulated visually (just ask my husband). You have SUCH A TALENT that leaves me breathless. I hope you are selling, showing your stuff....one day in the near future I will be able to boast "....well, I knew him when....".
On this 'holy' day you are blessed.

What a dramatic poem and piece of art. She's beautiful even with the so called warts and scars. I love the black and white it only adds to the drama. Absoltely beautiful piece. Gives us insight on something that most of us don't want to look at. Good job thank you.
