What a cute buddy. Gazing heaven-ward pose is perfect. His eye is adorable in this pose. Tiny white flowers make this more " heavenly".

Well done and thanks for sharing.

An excellent photograph of a subject which is obviously very loved and well looked after. The setting of the photo is lovely. The flowers compliment the subject and provides a feeling of gentleness and innosence.

Perfectly framed, the subject is in the centre of the image. I like the use of vignette, however in my opinion only, (not a professional or technical comment) maybe a bit less on this occassion so only the corners are darkened and not across the top of the photograph. I think it darkens the subjects face which makes me focus on the chest more. Just an opinion which hasn't effected the 5 stars I give for an excellent visual memory you will keep for a lifetime. Well done and keep up the good work :)

That is a very good question. One day I will know. I really like the vignette you used in the photo. It makes the cat look like it is lit in a special way. A of the technical merits are excellent.

This is a very regal kitty you have here. The clover background is perfect too. I wonder what he is looking at? My cat gets that look when he's spotting out a bird. Lovely shot!

Jack,
A brilliant & very beautiful picture of your most handsome of Classic Grey Tabby Tom Cat with a white chin his eyes gazing up wards, his ears pricked & his whiskers twitching, bathed in a sunbeam against a background of grass & white clover in flower. Artistic composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

I don't know for sure, but I would bet that heaven has quite a few cats and a whole lot of dogs.. I love his upward gaze and that he is surrounded by clover. His fur and whiskers are sharp, the soft background is perfect and the lighting around subject is purrfect.
(Sorry, could not resist and I had to fight with Spellcheck to do that.)
Lovely image.

I agree totally, I got two cats and two dogs and they are always a great memory, really never go
Your picture is exceptional with the pose he gave you that time - fantastic composition, excellent framing, your vignette is well chosen driving the attraction to the true center point

your focus is perfect, contrast and lighting well defined - your shot is also clear and sharp in details and so attractive the way he sits portrait for you, well reacted, well edited, well done - I specially love that one flower he seems to have in his hands

Well Jack...your title is perfect. I like it a lot and it is so very appropriate w/ the way your cat is gazing skyward.

And what a marvelous setting...a field full of clover...perfect setting for your cat as well. Nicely composed....although I'm not a huge fan of the vignette it is still an adorable setting. Focus the slightest bit soft on face but good throughout the rest of body.

A lovely little guy Jack and would make a really nice framed photo to remember him by.

An absolutely delightful image of a sweet cat among soft and fluffy flowers and grass. His expression is so wonderful. It seems to me that all creatures have a look in their eyes where their creator dwells. There's got to be a Cat Heaven, especially for a dear, sweet cat like this one who looks up at the clouds and sky, where it would be well if we all would look there more often. As I age, I do look at the sky more and get a relief and relaxation and even meditation sometimes. For years I only saw the pavement and what was in front of me, which can be quite stressful. Thanks for sharing this heartwarming picture of a beloved pet.
