An interesting initial impact.
Soft silhouettes.
Crop 20% of the sky to bring the horizon on the Law of Thirds grid line!
Fantabulous color.
Diffused focusing. Subtle illumination. Thanks for sharing...

Hi Dx,
glad you enjoy the early morning as I take other shots waiting.
I cropped over 20% already and some on the sides. as the camera program stopped working for that as I learned the new program.
but took 5 hours to upload there other features as I had to upgrade the reader to get the pdf files to upload.
I will keep that in mind as I thought the swans where close to the 1st line and small part of the island for the second.
but think everything is working but playing catch up first before thinking about trying to see if the whole program is working with the add ones as I try to learn something new again.
thank you for viewing /your insightful review/ and continued support as I try to learn as it took 5 hours fro the photo program but was a long day.
always,
ron

I have seen swans acting as ice breakers many times on my lake. It is always a source of amazement to me. I like this serene view. The colors are great and the composition is excellent.

hi mighiganmike.
that must be a nice scene to watch, as I never thought of taking pictures of this before .
yes it was neat to catch as they woke up and started as the seagulls and ducks where not active yet.
glad you enjoy it with just some cropping and slight level.
thank you for viewing and your kind review.

Initial Impact: Breath taking.
Nice rich color and great depth of field. Focus a little soft but fits this picture well.
Good story in the picture itself.
Thanks for sharing and HAGD.

hi gitmowxman,
glad you enjoy it like many do on my other site as the love the swans.
as I do need to try to use the bigger lens to get a better close up but just getting the programs working yesterday.
glad you enjoy it as I still did not try features' yet but got the tilting and cropping down as I cropped a few inches up top.
glad you enjoy it as I tried to think of a story for it.
your welcome, as it was a long day as I try to catch up.
thank you for viewing and your kind thoughts.

ron

Hi GaliaG,
glad you enjoy the coming sunrise as I wait.
it was a cold one as the whole bay was frozen even the channels underneath.
it was calming as they woke up and started breaking ice looking for thinner ice as break up easy to access warmer water.
your welcome thank you for viewing and your kind rating.
always,
ron

While I find the color of the image quite beautiful I want the image to have strength. 1/2 because I think the exposure has needs . I could be wrong though... I don't understand where my thought process comes from but grand glare in this image would sell me completely... some shine. (1/2) Sorry, after my stroke my brain does not always cooperate with me. Fortunately my eyes work just fine. :-)) Shine in the frame would give these three fellows a spot of artistry to hang out in. Aaaah... taken before sun, ok now I understand. (1/2) back... LOL Next it is the power of pulling me into the frame to totally enjoy - I want sun. LOL Anyway, wonderful capture of these three fellow. Thanks so much for sharing. No zingy but...

Hi momentsofjoy,
glad you enjoy it as the sun was not up yet as this was the 2nd brighter spot to catch some shots.
the bay was frozen with a rough texture so no ice glare to be found but the puddle.
sorry to hear that, and hope you can get better by the day if possible.
glad to hear that as I need my glasses more and may be a new set or the meds can be part of it.
there is only a tiny spot from where they woke and started there day ting to catch thinner ice and part of a channel to break up.
yes we had a few cold days and 9 inches but higher drifts as the back did not like that and took off seeing the sky that morning as 6: 25 was a bit late for the red color as the sun comes up about 7:15 now so a cold wait.
glad you got that effect as I have closer ones but like this one as they try to break a clearing to relax in warmer water.
I do have the sun but was still about a half hour away.
thank you for viewing and your kind review.
always,
ron
