The filtered sunlight helps pop the colors of the chairs without the normal glare of the summer sun. The total shot is full of many different elements to make a complete summer scene. The gulls are a nice addition.

A very nicely composed scene. The colors are great and the details are superb. While I like the gulls, I'm not too sure their presence makes sitting on those beach chairs an appetizing proposition.

Great shot! Wonderful composition with all those lead in lines caused by the decking and deck chairs gently curved to the distant view by the shoreline. The birds and their positions are an amazing capture and added bonus attraction. Superb DOF, clarity and detail. An iconic summer scene. Well done!!

I would sit down right next to that gull and you would be sitting in the green chair next to me!!
I love the leading lines of the wood planks and Adirondack Chairs.
Superb focus, gorgeous colors, Controlled Exposure/white balance and MAGNIFICENT angle showing the beauty of the water and mountains.
Love the stop action of the gulls in flight too!

A fantastic shot here that carries all the hallmarks of a summers evening, and a strong entry for the competition. Excellent clarity and brilliant long DOF, showing great detail right from the closest decking to the mountains and clouds in the far distance. Wonderful colours in the chairs and rocks, and great contrast between them, as well as in the shimmering blue sea. The seagulls top the picture off as they swoop by, captured with great timing. An amazing shot that to me sums up summer, best of luck!!
