This macro is stunning. I see the facets of the eye and fine hairs at the face. The refinement of detail is extraordinary. Colors and light are realistic. The green background emphasize and the tight framing are amplifying the insect remarkably.

Yep, that's a macro shot alright! Crikey, it looks like an old man stooped over struggling with his bag at the post office or something, with a very mechanical and old fashioned wind up toy look to it as well - I think my imagination has been switched to high today!! lol. Brilliant clarity and lighting shows the detail remarkably well, and in great focus, with the head freakily staring back at you with it's gigantic eyes, and the veins on the wing structure so brilliantly clear. An excellent shot, very well done - one day I aim to achieve this standard of macro!! :)

Great shot.
The detail is fabulous. You can see the faceting of the eyes quite clearly.
The wing detail is incredible.
Also, your image looks like one of the characters from the Pixar movie "Bugs life".
