The sharpest image of butterfly I have ever seen. Green and yellow colors are spectacular to me. Blurry background keeps the butterfly as the point of interest.
Well done and thanks for sharing.

This is an excellent photo-representation whose soft color harmonies and interesting geometry greatly enhance its well-balanced composition. Very well done and thank you for sharing.

Annie,
A beautiful picture of this Brimstone Butterfly sucking nectar from the white "Scabious" shaped flowers (I remember trying to capture the same butterfly in the south of France & it kept shutting it's wings on landing) Artistic composition, framing, beautiful blurred background & soft lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus showing the finest details of the butterflies head eyes, antennae & proboscis.

What an adorable creature! Also, the colour scheme serves to provide a serene feeling. Sometimes softness and muted colours in art are a good thing, if one wants to sedate one's otherwise restless mind. Well done!

Outstanding! This looks like a painting. The softness of the grass and the flowers emphasizes the sharpness of detail of the butterfly. The texture of the wings remind of brush strokes. I think the closed wings are an advantage rather than a handicap. It allowed you to show the body in an unusual view and perfect detail. The angle of the shot allows to see back and underside of the body and head and even the eye of the insect.
[The butterfly is a Clouded Sulphur. The flowers are pin Cushions.]

Cool,Annie!
What a splendidly attractive Butterfly Picture you've presented us with here,my friend!
It's beautifuuly focused and the enhancements that you've applied to it really 'work' giving the scene a very pleasant 'Soft and Dreamy' tone!
'Good Show',my friend!
