The porcelain quality of the flower really stands out. Some sharpness combined with gradients work well together. This looks like a portrait of a flower, giving it some exalted quality. It makes me appreciate all the parts of the flower, making them look more significant.

EXACTLY the way I wanted to present it Andre. It is amazing how that porcelain-type look is only visible in the evening....which is precisely why I photographed it after dark. Thank you so much for the marvelous review you've given it. I do really appreciate it.

Oh, beautiful image on black canvas. Amazing, clear colors, and the enigma of the plant. From the light to the shadow skillful image makes me feel the aroma of the flower. Thanks for sharing.

Oh, Wow, thanks a lot! the colors n the big flower are so challenging, I want to try, but, I can paint it if you only send it on my e-mail. I paint only one picture, never repeat, no copies of your work, I guarantee. I just a bad photographer. If I take pictures of my flowers, I have to change them with my brush. :) your is perfect for painting. :)

Deborah,
A stunning picture of this "The Master's Tulip" glowing out from it's dark background. It looks like the fantastic species of Tulips depicted in many of the classic Dutch Masters painting & similar to one my mother grew in her spring garden. Artistic composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.
Susan

Well done! This photo looks amazing. The bright and vibrant colors stand out so perfectly against the dark and dramatic background. The clarity is perfect, you framed it beautifully, and the lighting is excellent as well. Thanks for sharing this tulip with us :)

Innovative! Why thank you so much Seshadri. My method was born out of a desire to show how different my flowers look once the sun has gone down- WITHOUT having to spend a ton of money on lights to do so. Thank you so very much for the really wonderful review and the extra sparkle you shared w/ my new piece. I do always appreciate it.

Your capture of this stunning tulip with the gorgeous colors that looks like an artist just painted this wonderful nature shot. Your focus is spot on and sharp and on every part of the tulip revealing such good details. Your contrast between light and shadows has created depth and interest. Most beautiful garden tulip excellent camera techniques and perspective. Your dark background compliments this beautifully. What is the name of this variety of tulip? This is outstanding work and thanks for sharing these wonderful scenes.

Thank you so much Mary Lynn for such an outstanding review of my new piece. This TULIP came from a package called 'The Masters' I typically use bulbs when I do TULIPS. This was the first time I started them from seeds...ended up w/ a decent seed to plant ratio but I have to admit- bulbs ARE easier...lol Anyway, so pleased you like it. Let me know if you decide to give them a try next season (one drawback btw- you can't pop these in the ground in the Autumn the way you can w/ bulbs)
