to me this has it all , it is a good composition and the warm and cool colors create a very pleasing to the eye composition.
the visual flow is by the colors used takes the viewers eye all around the periphery and then brings them into the main component of the painting the lily.
the blending of the colors, is another aspect of this painting that comes across very well and is again pleasing to the eye.
Nicely done, a winner in this reviewer's way of thinking.

Beautiful painting of your Lotus flower that am familiar with in Water Lily as fish in and around them as fish use them for cover. Enjoy the lighting and the way you made it play on the flower and the pads. Flower and it's pads are very well painted and like the succulent look, feel you imparted in them. Lilypad flower am familiar with is white but maybe wrong on this. Very well done and Thank You for sharing.

Oh my goddess, so much gold! Thank you very much for your encouraging review and the stars. My Monday is so much much brighter now. The white waterlily is native to northern America, but the Lotus Nelumbo nucefera is from Asia. It comes in variations of yellow, pink and red. :o)

very good digital art work, with use of colorful choice of pink and its variations depending on the way shade affects the pinkish hue. Lovely greens with shades and high lighted effect of the sunshine light on these leaves. Very good indeed.

Thank you very much for your encouraging comments and the extra golden sparkles. It makes me very happy that you like my Lotus. The flowers of this species always stand out a couple of inches, probably to attract the pollinators better. :o)

Thank you very much for your encouraging comments. I have other scratches with more space on the left, but this lotus seemed to have its own mind. It was almost as if it wanted to be painted in the center. :o)

Thank you very much. Your encouraging comments and extra sparkling rating is a great encouragement for me. In a way painting is easier than photography. There wont be distractions because I just do not paint what I do not like being in the picture. If I make a mistake, I just erase it or put a new layer of paint over it. The only problem is that painting is very time consuming. :o)
