Oh, I am so glad you revived this one, Cleo. It is truly breathtakingly beautiful. It has such amazing depth that leads the viewer in and beckons to wonder what is beyond that curve in the water. Impeccable rendering throughout. Wish I had a 6 left for you. Ed.

Wow ! And Wow again! This is a gorgeous digital painting ! I love the setting sun and it's placement in this scene, the snow capped mountains on the left the river running through this scene and reflecting the setting sun and it's color. The tree on the right and the trees on left balance this scene as well as giving depth, the sloping bank beyond the tree on the right is well placed and calls attention to the mountains on left. This is beautiful and a true pleasure to view! The only thing wrong is that I am out of sixes, this most certainly deserves one!

Oh, Cleo, I can see why this composition won first place. I want to go there and enjoy the soft peace of this scene. Viewing it calms my restless mind and makes me feel content. What more can we ask of a piece of art?

First of all the color palette is sensational....The extreme yellows are so inviting and so rarely seen because everyone always wants to utilize the reds and oranges....but YELLOW that you have here is one of those needs to be here. It grabs your attention and keeps it for the longest time. The bare tree in the foreground all the way back to the snow covered mountains is where this river's life begins and it continues on its journey for its father who is large and cold and ever so beautiful, the ocean itself. The river of reflecting yellow follows it curves on downward for ever wet and smooth sailing until it does reach its father where is taught more mature type of things, if you will....waves, currents, tsnunamis...it began as an infant and now it has become an adult.
