Cleo, where was her itch that you scratched?

What caught my eye with this art was the background it has a festive and swirling effect thanks to your colours. The dark at the back of her hair causes her hair to extend and it fools our eyes negatively. A lighter shade would work better as it would highlight her hairdo even more.

The hot red causes our eyes to gravitate to that area and for a moment I thought she was on fire, it could be subdued somewhat.

As for the precision of your work it is perfect. Is that a shawl she was wearing?

Sorry about the rudeness you experienced but I see this was Texas.....sigh.

Ha,ha. You was born a joker and have to play on words, don't you?
I admit that I fool the eyes with that black in the background and the fire in purpose. I wanted the back of the wheelchair in the photo, but only slightly visible. I believe if certain things are obscured, viewers more likely will have a closer look at a picture and might think about the message it contains. Yes, She wears a shawl. This shawl [stola] is part of the traditional outfit of the "ruling class" in southern old-Mexico.

What a great subject to photograph. She has a mysterious look on her face and you are wondering what she is thinking about. She doesn't show any emotion while you are photographing her. I love the mix of color that surrounds her and brings more mystery to the photograph.

Thank you very much for your kind review. :o)
I did not photograph her in this position. I was scratching her for a half hour or more and her expression did not change any. It is a code of behavior of the conservative upper class of old-Mexico, never to show emotions in public.

Excellent. The whole composition of this picture is perfect. From the background crowd coloring is beauty, to the expression on this woman's face. The flowers on her blouse add just the right touch to complete this perfection.

She does indeed look like a Spanish Dona. I love the way you swirled the background tho beautifully frame her. Her serene expression shows her deep pleasure in the music.

Wowowow!

Superb up close and very personal!

A candid creation with dramatic muted colors save for the white dress...

A fantabulous painterly rendition with smooth light impasto strokes...
The out of focus backdrop pops out the subject aesthetically and draws the viewers' attention right into the subject.

Well done...!

Thanks for sharing...

Well..I am still stunned by your wonderful artist notes. You have taken me to that exact moment ...at the concert and relating to this beautiful lady and her 'rude girl'. Good for you Cleo...for giving this beautiful lady her place in the sun..by capturing her and giving this photo the time that you have to spotlight her and her alone. A tough one for sure...with much background noise. You have done a fine job... and I love it. And I know she would too. Thank you for your heart, Cleo.

A lovely job on this painting. The coloring is just right. I can see her features, but her face isn't filled with lines to define those. You did a great job on her blouse, also. I also like how you put more focus on her and "blurred" the background.
