A beautiful picture with good advice given in your text if I get a lousy review I ignore the reviewer in future by NOT reviewing any of their work! A wonderful picture of the two Daisy Folk created with very skilful draftsmanship from an active imagination, with beautiful colours & blending of colours in their application in bringing your scene to life for us to enjoy.

Well said! It must be used wisely and taken seriously if you are interested in getting your work better exposure and as you say, votes in the comps. However I have a policy that anybody cocky enough to make a piece about it I have to block on principle...."wink" lol. Seriously though I made a few errors in this area starting out and it was a bit messy. Great picture to express and illustrate this fact, with great detail, great colours, great precision, great fun. Great work ;)

In my case, 12 senior FARartists blocked me.
All the newbies are very friendly to me--very supportive!
This is an eye opener that leave some concerns to ponder on...
Simple but thought provoking creation.
Straightforward presentation of the message across the frame.
I guess its because of the green money that leaves everybody wide eyed when they see this!
That's why I seldom criticize
posts especially when the artists cannot accept constructive critiques...

All the newbies are very friendly to me--very supportive!
This is an eye opener that leave some concerns to ponder on...

I really like the message in this one having been reamed by someone who did not like my opinion on one of their pieces. And you are correct, no one likes to hear that they have not done something well but sometimes the truth has to sting a little in order for us to improve. The colors in this piece are very pleasing to me and of course the scene is well executed.

haha so funny and too true. i have had a couple of 3 stars (just now) and even a 1 star but have not blocked anyone in recent years. all work is either liked or not and who really cares. you just take the negative with the positive (and anyways there is just too much love in this world). even when coming last in any comp is a result, although it might not be the desired one (at least a result). you have turned your unique stance and humour to make a worthy point...but i'm liking this more because you have undercut peoples expectations. is like a killer blow! actually i have been a fan of yours from day one and you inspire folk to try their hand at art.

i had a photographer tell me one time that he can only draw a stickmen and he isnt an artist. i told him this...draw 4 stickmen. then put 3 of the stickman with a skinny triangle in the middle of the body... then with the 4th stickmen do a sideways figure 8 just below that ones head. finally draw a barrel in between the 2 stickmen in the middle. now do you know what you just created...he was puzzled for a minute till i told him he just create the scene of a toga party from the movie "animal house". he got a kick out of it..wink. since we share the same historical interest you can say i have been a fan of your captures and you have created some great art as well..you just need that nudge to get you in the mood for it. wink wink..lol. thanks for the awesome review and DON'T EVER STOP BELIEVING!.

haha nice one mr flood. i think i'm still in the stick man phase myself but have done loads of tiny sketches in a notebook (recently).

Post them. The worst could is someone say they suck..but it gives you a feel of what the viewer thinks and you can fine tune it. However I recall some time ago you did produce some creation..I remember the one with the horse..see I betcha you I was talking B's . Nope I do your work..wink
