I can fully appreciate multimedia works when they are incorporated in a way that makes the whole scene come together and tells a story. While I can see what you are trying to tell here I feel the use of the "blown up" wall/ window structure doesn't quite work. It would have more meaning if it were representing looking out through his real home...like looking through a living or kitchen window. As you have it here, it is a bit confusing.While the lighting is good the colors clash....good detail and composiition.

This is a great artwork with a message and story. The soldier is taking a moment to hug the dog and the border collie is coming over for his hug, too. You can see the chaos and disaster of the war through the window and wall. The smoke and danger is all around them, yet the soldier is grabbing a moment of comfort with the dogs. I love it and thanks for sharing this wonderful artwork.

A wonderful and quite touching piece, showing this soldier comforting a frightened dog with another behind, saving them from a bombed or burning building by the looks of it in this amazingly lifelike and detailed piece. I'm presuming that the soldier & dog are a photograph and you have carefully built this scene surrounding them, but forgive me if I'm wrong!! The sharpness and detail of the piece is fantastic and really creates the atmosphere of the scene, with the blown out window with fires blazing beyond, and the cracked brick wall surrounding it with a green haze of perhaps smoke slowly creeping in from the sides and top, framing it nicely. A great sense of depth to the piece, great accuracy and intricacy put into the artwork with good perspective, and overall a great composition and piece - very well done.
