Very nicely done with an off center composition allowing for more viewing of the interesting sky which compliments the butte so well. Your post processing looks good with clearly defined details and natural lighting. Well done.

If you look at westerns on TV a lot of times this place somehow comes up, this must be a producers number one shot to get. Just sitting here looking at this you got to wonder how this came to be, it is in the middle of nowhere but it is never forgotten. This is a great view of this and I like the way that it is off centered. Keep up the great work and lets wonder together how this came into being, what do you think. JackJr.

Your detailed and thoughtful review is much appreciated! Well, the buttes are formed, so I believe we're formed by weathering over millions of years. Early film makers, such as John Ford, became enthralled and fascinated by the landscapes as they were so photogenic.

A beautiful & very dramatic desert landscape dominated by Merrick Butt standing up like a Norman Castle on it's hill but millions & millions of years older, it's present shape created by centuries of erosion by rain, frost & wild that carries sand with it. The overcast cloud formation over head adds to the dramatic appearance of the scene. Artistic composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

Wonderfully fabulous capture. There is such warmth in the scene, perfect lighting and color so fantastic exposure. I also really enjoy the angle to the shot, grand placement in the frame. I can feel the warmth and I can enjoy the calmness. Thanks for sharing!
