However the
water and the whale are almost.
The same color.
It is an amazing shot.
You should be proud,
I would be especially taken with a phone.

What a great photo of a breaching humpback you have shot with your phone-congras! Nice capture of this powerful denizen of the deep launching itself skyward,attempting to defy the laws of gravity that will succeed in pulling it back into it's watery realm.Your image is nicely sharp,giving us a great look at all the details on it's head and scattering of barnacles it has aquired in it's journeys thru the ocean.Your slightly slanted horizon in no way detracts from your fantastic subject-many thanks for sharing and best of luck in the contest! :)

Thank you my ks for your Fabulous review and comments. Yes, I took this shot two weeks ago on a whale sight seeing tour. One of my Bucket List items and it turned out to be a tour of a life time. A beautiful picture of this Humpback whale breaching the waves leaving a frothy wake of spray behind it showing us how fast it's moving through the water. Beautiful composition , framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

Really good notes btw. I have always been fascinated by the lovely songs they sing. It's a good stop action....giving a wonderful shot of this guy's massive head. A really interesting post BB. Glad you posted this one.

LOL. Oh my BB. I am so glad to hear from you and that you commented on this one. Yes this was on my bucket list and it turned out to be an experience of a life time. You know BB, I am really learning to adjust to having to be able to do anything I want, more or less. I feel that I am like you, able to "Experience life and to Breath it all in". It is I who envies You BB. So far this is such a cool place as there is a No Limit Hold 'Em poker game every Saturday and Monday. What a Wonderful group of people. Win, lose or draw this is the most fun I have had in a long time (BTW, can I borrow 1500 pesos? I will gladly pay you back on Tuesday). You Know I am only kidding BB. I Really need 2000 pesos. Lake Chapala is beautiful, especially the sunsets. I will send you some pix. Enough for now. You know I so like hearing from you BB ~ BB P.S. I am so glad to have you in my FAR Life BB. YOU are my BB and I would not trade You for Anything.
