This is a magnificent bird.
Is he really big, or is the tree small. He looks huge.
You have captured him so good with the light on his chest.
It is so perfectly clear, and focused.
All I can think of is Edgar Allen Poe and Stephen King.

They are quite large, they can be 30 inches tall and weigh about 4 lbs. I have seen them gang up on eagles ! Thank you so very much! I like the ravens too !

The photo captures the essence of the trickster. The photo is clear and the perch is just prefect. The raven is perfectly centered. Great photo.

Excellent capture of this impressive Raven, Pat and interesting notes about this. I like the pose you caught here as he perches in the ghost tree which makes a good frame for him. Very good lighting and focus showing great clarity. Very good composition. Suzanne

I have had a penchant for ravens ever since I read The poem by Poe. You have captured a wonderful shot of the whole bird. The natural light reflections have kept this shot from looking like a large silhouette as you have captured nice details in the face, beak and chest. This is one of the best raven photos I have ever viewed.
