Really nice entry for the contest. I like all your color choices in both the water and the children. The wave that is crashing is done really well and is full of rich texture and brushwork. It is nicely arranged and well thought out. Good luck in the contest.

Fantastic artwork. I love the colors you chose for this. An objective view from behind the two little girls, their body language and posture, conjuring up a little story in my mind. It really draws me in. Thank you for posting and sharing.

Wonderful piece for this contest Linda and I LOVE the way you've titled it.
Your watercolor wash has produced such realistic colors for the water. Really nice. The figures are well detailed w/ good shading and color. Makes me think of summers at Far Rockaway w/ my sisters. Nicely put together piece here. Best of luck w/ it in the contest.

My pleasure Linda.
Comment from Neilnap773
a sweet composition and well structured with the main subjects centred beautifully despite their backs being turned to the audience. There is a good attempt at bringing depth into the piece with good use of tones from light to dark

I love this beach season with the two young girls in the ocean. It says summer and spending time with friends. Your color pallet so beautiful with good blending and shading of colors. Nice movement in the ocean with the gorgeous white caps. A creative and talented mixed medial traditional art piece. Good luck in the Contest. Outstanding work and thanks for sharing!

Linda, a wonderful scene that brings back wonderful memories of me doing this exact same thing when I used to visit the beach a lot.
Your colors and dimensions are very nicely done here.
I wish you much success in this contest ;)

Best of friends taking a moment together at the beach. Nice piece with a good sense of environment and story. The water is well created as is the foam and movement of the waves on the beach. The two girls are well done. Good composition. Well seen.

This is so well done. Beautiful colorful background that blends all the way down to the white waves and the sandy shore. I love how you have the friends wading in the water. So sweet. Well drawn. good proportions. Great colors . Like your technique of watercolor then pastels. Very good choice for the contest.

For my 73rd birthday last Wednesday, my youngest son took me to Cleethorpes, but it was blowing a gale, everyone in coats, all but essential shops closed as there were no visitors. That water looks a bit rough for little girls.Hope they were in the shallow end.
