Wow! What an incredible story you included with this image of you and your father as you were enroute to the island to start a ranch! It sounds like you really endured a lot in your life time! This image works well to tell your story, I really appreciate you sharing this with us. Best to you in the contest!

A rare photo indeed. Your artist's notes are fascinating and puts this scene into perspective. I knowhow hard it was for you and all the craziness you had to endure. A great entry for the contest and best of the best in the voting. Thank you for sharing a great story from your life Daphne ~ Steve

Thanks very much. How easy did you find it to read!?? Have you read much of what I sent you? It is so overwhelming to me I just don't know how to deal with it for public consumption, bu tried the best I could to get down what I did!!

Yes there is so much to attempt to say. Your narrative with this photo contained a lot of important information to you and I think without a deep background understanding of all that happened the viewer may have a difficult time putting it all into contest. You must remember that the public has no clue as to your background and all that happened. They do not know enough to fill in the blanks, if that makes sense. Still this is a fascinating photo.

I entirely agree. I even wondered if I might get kicked off of FAR for trying to mention some of this as it is like fantasy claimed to be fact. It is one of the reasons that I and others never spoke about it. I actually began trying to verbalize my history and experiences to help others, but even the documentary got suppressed and used for fiction. Getting up in years now I won't be around for ever so am just trying different things. Even Scott Wilson, who was there, son of Beach Boy Dennis Wilson, says he is not believed although he wrote a chapter about Shimber Beris in his self published book, Son of a Beach Boy. He is psychiatric ally unstable, so this makes him easier to discredit. In the end it is like my parent's borrowed slogan about keeping silent has prevailed over all of us. Will it win out?? Again my email is daphneoberon@gmail.com if you have further input!! Thanks, Daphne Oberon
