This is an impressive painting. The intensive star of the animal and the three dimensionality of the composition gives the viewer the illusion that the tiger is directly in front. The beauty and power of the tiger is excellently shown. Is there another animal or is the body of the tiger bend and the leg at left is shown in foreshortening view?

Well, I have looked a this long enough without saying anything. It is magnificent. Just the right color. Just the right hues and values to give the illusion of a tiger walking through the grasses. And those eyes just penetrate right into you. Reasons for my six star vote.
