this one is soo lovely. such a brilliant rendition of a fine photo. great colour and such a richness in your image; that realy is both realistic and warming. the darkness offers the young bird some cover and protection. his expression is like seeing his environment and world for the first time.

What a beautiful rendition of this sweet baby bird! You've done justice to Sange's photograph. : )
I like the depth of shading in your piece and the way her body and feathers look light and weightless .
A lovely piece! Thank you for sharing!

Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!
Wow Cleo! This is your best yet!
It looks exactly like my photo! The way you managed to create the light, his Downy soft feathers, the eye and those stray muppet like hairs on top of his head.. ahhhmazing!
I love it!! I am impressed and very happy you finally chose one of my birds to paint.
Beautiful work Cleo Girl!!
Thank you for your sweet words!!
The correct name of the Bird is Least Bittern.

HI Cleo, I bet Sange was very pleased with the results. I think you did an awesome job of painting this Bittern. I love the detail and the softness of your strokes. Love the way the plants slip into darkness and hoe you created the lighting on the bittern. Super Cool and a joy to view! :o) Helvi

I remember this photo so well, and it almost came as a shock to me to see it was one of your digital paintings, because I thought I had reviewed it as a photo by mistake. LOL
Your brush strokes are just great, but most of all I like the way you have used the light. Just like in the photo. You have paid such good attention to details, and also brought out the textures of the feathers in an excellent way.
The format and framing is very good, and the bird is of course also well placed on the canvas. Indeed a beautiful and well done digital painting.

I was thinking that I had already reviewed this picture, but it was Sange's picture that I was thinking of. Excellent Job.
Good initial impact and presentation.
Excellent artistic technique.

Beautiful work, and this is so clear, it could almost be a photo. Nice positioning, good use of colour, light and shade. Just stunning - well done.

Another beautiful masterpiece to add to your portfolio Cleo! The comparison to the original photo is amazing. The detail in the face and all of the colors and shading of the feathers are absolutely perfect. I like how you omitted some of the unnecessary details in the background, giving it a softer look. This is really, REALLY good!
