Pat,
A stunning picture of the Independence Goldmine in the snow covered Talkeetna Mountains bathed in sunshine but I can imagine just how cold the miners & their families must have been working up there even if being Russians they were somewhat acclimatized to the weather Russian winter's being as cold as Alaskan ones. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

Nice one Pat. I love the rocky sceneryespecially when snow covered. Yes these were ruggen people living in rugged times and areas. I like your use of the polarizing filter. Actually because of the effects I saw in your photos, I baught a polarizing filter for my iPhone. I really makes a difference. Great scene here Pat and keep those scenes coming ~ Steve

I like seeing the surrounding landscape once in a while. It gives you a better feel for the place. That feeling for this place is just plain cold. Very fine details and lots of great snow.

Reckon they must have been tough and determined people to work there in winter! Your fine traditional composition grants us a good view of your dramatic, cold location. Exposure and sharpness are good. Nicely done!
