An absolutely adorable catch, Grace. Of course the tongue sticking out is great, but I also like to position of the wings. And the black background could't be more perfect. And I do love the eyes as well. Stunning.

Grace, an amazing shot!
Everything here is working perfectly for this owl.
the whites are not blown out, the dark background s perfect to show off this little hooter. (was it little? I can't tell ;)
YOur straight on eye shot with the nictitating eyelids is fabulous!!

Oh those darned individuals in the audience, Don't they realize that there is a photographer in their midst!
Isn't it amazing that when we don't have all our equipment, not set up, that we have a serendipitous outcome. It's not often that one can say an owl stuck it's tongue out at me. Detail and color are spot-on. I wonder if you considered cropping so as to center the bird since the black background already brings the bird front and center. I think the rule of thirds could be ignored in the image. Very well done.

A very interesting perspective. The exposure for the white feathers is excellent and the details are exquisitely shown. Nice composition with great colors.

Wow what a great shot. Excellent focus. Amazing detail. Hilarious that he stuck out his tongue at you.
I will have to enlarge him in my PC to see that third eye you speak of. I'm on an iPhone right now.
Beautifully captured.
A real tree to see this image.
Thank you for sharing!

Thank you very much Monica for the sparkling six star! I am glad you see the hilarity in this guy's pose. I thought it was so funny, and another member told me that it isn't often that a person can say that an owl stuck his tongue out at them! Lol. I would be happy send this to you if you want. Just message me :)
