Cool,LeeAnn!
Since they've always been a popular 'Prey Species' ( and clever Opportunists! ) it serves them well to have evolved a highly tuned sense of caution!
Your photo of this one taking a quick peek at you makes for a very good looking ( and pleasantly 'Fan to View! ) image! : )

Many thanks! We have TONS of them in the warmer months, they delight in digging in my outdoor potted flowers, often burying sunflower seeds in them, then digging up the sprouts when they start growing. They constantly chase each other around on the porch and deck, using the rhododendron bushes in front of the porch as a super highway.Never a dull moment with them around!

Perfect timing to capture just as he is peeking out to see if it's safe, we don't have chipmunks here and I think they are adorable! Well photographed with good focus, the image is nice and clear, exposure is well controlled, colors and tones are natural. Well composed with this little guy peeking out from his safe place! Well presented!

Adorable!!! I really like how you got a peeking pose from him. The colors look very nice and I like the texture of the tree. Having part of the hole framed in make a nice element to the composition.
