What a great stop action shot here Grace. There is a family of these Finches that will descend on my feeders at home and just about clean me out in just a couple of days.

I have seen this move plenty of times. I would guess that the finch is jumping from a perch onto a feeder. In any event it is a beautiful image with sharp detail and great colors.

Its the first time I have seen a finch fully so close up. This is a great picture showing all the lovely details of this little bird. I like how you caught it in flight with wings so spread showing the formation and anatomy of the body and feathers. All is finely detailed and the face colour and head plumage so well focussed. A real pleasure to see this.
