Good choice for this topic. I was thinking the same, but you went beyond and thought of the children. Invaders do not think of the young. It would be hard to explain to a child why they do what they do as conquerors. Great dipiction

To begin with your rendering is very captivating. It clearly shows a high level of emotion and radiates both raw fear and sadness.
Your creativity really shows through in this piece.
I also felt that the older child has a real grasp on the situation and realizes the need to protect the younger sibling from the horror of the situation.
I have very strong feelings about people and situations that put children in harms way, so your rendition touched me deeply.

Cyber six for this one mark! Strong emotional impact, well created with your usual strong attention to the details AMAZING brick work! This is a really good idea for this contest Flood! There is alot of emotion shown. Everything has been drawn and colored/shaded really well. The use of light and initial impact are great! Really eye appealing.

Dang! If you don't have a contest winner here then something is very wrong with the world. As always, your attention to detail is amazing. I especially like the 3-D effect of the bricks, with different colors and depths. The facial expressions and aliens in the background are also exceptional. As a kid, I loved the original 1953 version with Gene Barry. You probably remember it too.

What a story and what a great illustration - you are simply the best - super use of space - the story comes out through your composition - fantastic color range representing mood and situation perfectly
I think this is a very impacting presentation as the walls are heavy and she looks a bit like wondering and giving in

Wow. Pretty powerful images. I like your use of body language. The doll is interesting because she actually seems to be comforting the girl, as if she has a soul.
