I like the simplicity of composition. The textures of the tree stump and the fur of the animal are stylized, but the painting scene is realistic. The expression of the animal is intriguing. The reflections in the eyes are especial interesting. Perspective and proportions are exact. The colors are natural-realistic. The framing is adequate. The composition is balanced.

It is a very Sweet water color painting of a raccoon, and I like the way it is peeping out from a Hollow tree trunk. I especially like the fine textures of the Wood, and also Your good use of high lights.
It is easy to see that this is done paying very good attention to details, and it is a good flow in Your brush strokes. I also like a lot the Limited color pallet.
The format and framing is working well, and it is a good Balance in the composition. A truly lovely and well done water color painting, and I wish you Luck With the contest.
