Dramatic leading lines of the Seawalls along the River Mersey all coming together.
Misty view of the city of Liverpool scape adds interest to the scene.
Great lighting and clarity.Well captured.

You have chosen a fine angle to show the perspective view of the walls and rails! The light and shadows, colours and the composition have worked out well. Good effort!

Love the point of view you have taken this from leading the eye along the wall to the distant cloud covered city. Good camera techniques to achieve the shot.

I love shots like these!
I enjoy dabbling in these types of shots as well.
Excellent depth of field.
It's focused well and the framing is brilliant.
Well done!

Great leading lines, directing our eye to the farthest end which is a bit hazy. Indeed, a pretty dramatic scene. I love the angle, and how you've shown the citiscape in the background.

Nik,
A beautiful & interesting picture of the long Sea wall at New Brighton on Merseyside with the skyline of Liverpool rising out of the mist in the far distance on an overcast day in February. Beautiful composition with the wall drawing the eye into the centre of the picture the railing giving a good example of perspective. Taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

Your POV is outstanding. How the dark line of land met the parapet of the bridge is extraordinary. It creates a number of triangles which contradict with the metal rectangles of the banister. The photo is excellently focused. The bridge is pin sharp. This sharpness of detail set against the foggy city in the background makes the view very impressive. The photo has good exposure and exquisite depth. Light sand colors are realistic.

Your very detailed and considerate review is very much appreciated! Glad you enjoyed it!! I should though point out that we were not on a bridge but beside a sea wall.

You used a great angle to show off the length of the walls and it creates lovely depth to the scene. The cityscape in the background also looks very nice. I especially enjoy the textures in this image.

Nice angle of shot to show the seawall, I like the fog in the air over the city.
Well focused, clear image with good light management, colors and tones appear natural.
Well composed and presented!

A unique post. I have had some long "sea walks" but not like this. (Also, I realize this is a river.) I wonder why no birds on the railing and the long the water break in the distance. Liverpool does look distant indeed. A long way away!

Very many thanks for your nice review! Think we must have scared the birds away. Here the River Mersey meets the Irish Sea. Liverpool is probably 5/6 miles away.
