Gorgeous portrait. I love the subtlety of the colors. And, the contrast between the blurry background and the exceptionally sharp focus on the owls and the branch really make this piece pop. Great job!

First off I like the subject of the shot. I also like that the owl is not in the center of the frame and that allows the background to support him and shows the conditions he was in when you too the photo, his colors and the negative space colors compliment on another nicely. I do think that the focus is slightly off, because his feathers seem fussy . Other then that a good photo to paint from, because of the contracts of color, of his warm and cool background.

what a wonderful find. He is watching you. Looking straight at you. I have painted owls a time or two and they come in all types. My youngest son used to be mad about them. Do you have Crown virus 19 up there too?

Another great photo!
I like the sharp focus on the owl and the blurred backdrop. Even though the colors are very neutral the owl still pops. His markings are so cool. I like the falling snow too. Well done!
