I like how the close up photo shows the rich detail of all the elements. I think it's also cool to see how the beautiful natural parts like the pink petals of the flower serve as the backdrop for the spider killing the bee; it's all just part of the cycle of life.

OMG! Eating a thing eating some other thing!:) Great timing of the action scene! Wonder how long it took the spider to gobble up the bee! Over all a fine macro shot. Good luck!

A very good looking entry into the competition posted here! Your fine full and central composition captures both the beauty and brutality that exists in nature. Like the contrasting textures and tone s on the spider and the bee. Well done and good luck!

Fred,
A beautiful & interesting picture of the white Crab Spider ~Misumena vatia killing the poor Bombus Pascorum~ Carder bumble Bee in a battle for her life their shadows on the Rose's petals are an added interest. Beautiful composition framing and lighting taken with superb camera techniques and sharp focus.

I really appreciate this and the information that you shared about the spider was quite interesting. You have done a great job with this one. The focus is really great and I love the different colors. I kind of feel bad for the bee but that's how life goes, survival of the fittest. Keep up the great work and good luck in the contest. Jack
