This, is gorgeous Pat! Beautiful sharp capture and detail of the Junco, lovely catchlight in the eye. And beautiful softly mottled background so the junco really pops. I also like the driftwood branch, and the way it curves up, drawing the eye to the bird so easily and freely. Gorgeous.

A beautiful bird that I see mostly in the winter; they seem to stay on the ground most of the time so I really like to see this one on such a fine perch.

She is floating in space. This has a great DOF. The singular
focal point works to bring the viewer into the scene as we wait for her to take off. Lighting, focus and construction is perfect.
