Actually, I was just looking at one of these last weekend. My cousin had his deer skull cleaned and bleached and it looks just like this one. They use bugs to eat the flesh. The integration of the aspen's colorful leaves livens up the scene and gives a feeling of fall and the upcoming Halloween event. The red eyes is a nice touch for the spooky feeling.

Many thanks for the great review,I found this last winter in a neighboring field;have a fenced in area where I put skulls in need of cleaning in and let the bugs take care of them over the summer.

This is awesome LeeAnn! Perfect Halloween image for Halloween! I like the placement of the skull on the black background surrounded by the fiery orange leaves, the red eyes add a bit of eeriness , this is well photographed with good focus, this image is clear, exposure is well managed , colors and tones appear natural. Well composed and presented!
