Great photograph of your friend here. I always wanted a Shepard but got hooked on Field Springers way back. I haven't painted a Shepard yet either ð??? Maybe some day. Anyway this is a nice pic . Thanks for sharing

The focus and clarity is good. And, the close up shot shows the details of the face and body. The colors of the fur are complimentary. And, the background of white adds to the chill shown here in the dogs facial expression.

Kaiser is a truly handsome looking dog, and you have pictured him so well in the snow. When I was young I had a German Shepherd as well, and his name for King. I am therefore especially taken to dogs like this.
Your photo is of course also nice and sharp showing clear and well defined details in every part of the dog, and you have also brought out so well the fine textures of the fur. The exposure is perfect.
The cropping is nicely done and your dog has got a fine placement within the frame. A truly lovely and well taken photo Pat, and with a very good DOF.
