Eyes certainly have the expression. I enjoyed this much.

I KNEW IT!!! And people were telling me I was CRAZY! Well,maybe I am,but that's besides the point. Anyway,hopefully it wasn't this panther,'cause that wouldn't be good at all. It would indeed be a bit scary to see this guy peering out of that natural screen of leaves. This cat's well placed in the greenery with those big icy yellow eyes staring intently into your soul. A great entry with great detailing and placement of all those leaves,best wishes to you!

Just love him! You definitely cant ignore him. I really like how you did the eyes and shape of the head. It really gives a warm and fuzzy feel. The green foliage is a perfect pick to show the focus So well done

I feel watched. That cat is looking directly at me. Its eyes look ferocious, but not malicious. The cartoon is perfect drawn. I enjoy your attention to detail. There seem hundreds of small leaves in this hedge. The colors are realistic and attractive. The cat is perfect placed within the frame. The composition is balanced. Best Luck!

I think this drawing is different and quite creative because of all the greens framing the black face, and that you have had the courage to go against the unspoken rules of placing an object in the very center. I do however think it works.
It must have taken forever to draw all these leaves so detailed, while you have done the opposite with the animal. Here I see simplicity.

ok for you i tell ya..the drawing was done in a total of 2 days..from pencil to ink. believe it or not..leaves..grass..and brick walls over the decades i developed a quick system to draw that out quick and ink it in..and by the way what is this unspoken rule centering object? you have to excuse my ignorance on that one..never had any classes in my life but the many creations have seen dont follow by that rule. it just had me puzzled when you said that. however i do appreciate the awesome review.

It is called The Golden Ratio, and said shortly and simple, it means that the center of interest should be put to the right or left within the frame. The composition is then balanced. You can read much about it on net. You are more than welcome for the review Mark.

Well I don't know if I agree with that. I think it depends on the topic and illustration. I base this on decades of presentations of any image photo or art in magazines... posters..books..you know the commercial stuff..heck that is how learned...lol
