Very wintery scene; one that I can't quite imagine. Ice fog must be quite a sight. You can make out slight colour on the tree amongst the hoar frost. I can't work out which is water and what is sky. Lovely placement of the frosted trees which do stand out against the grey background. Thanks for sharing Pat!

It is how you imagine those fairy stories, you know, the snow queen up in the country in the north, when the children come to visit her. Isn't nature wonderful, they way it covers each branch, even the smallest, with tiny bits of ice.

Fantastic winter scene with atmosphere and color that induces emotion and feelings of cold....

I agree with you,the frost is beautiful,hoar frost is something we don't often see around here,unfortunately! Just love the monochromatic feel of this image with this gorgeous frost encased tree,contrasting with the dark bark. It's a lovely photo,yep,my hands would be giving me a LOT of problems,too!

What a beautiful photograph. I hate that this type of day is miserable for your hands, but I am happy you are able to capture something so spectacular in spite of the pain. The frost on the tree makes each branch and twig so defined. I love how the atmosphere is such that you can barely distinguish the sky from the inlet.

This is a winter wonderland. Your photo is excellent focused and exposed and has good depth. I enjoy the realism of color and light. The white balance is perfect. The trees are expertly placed left of center. The photo the well composed and framed. The composition is balanced.
