This is an intriguing shot. The pose of the Deer is interesting. The look over its shoulder shows that the animal is not afraid, but observing and interesting in what is going on behind its back. Your photo is well focused and exposed and has good depth. I appreciate the realism of color and light and the refinement of detail. The Deer is perfect placed within the frame. The composition is balanced.

Looks like this one was relaxing, interesting antlers, looks like they are well anchored, I have never seen this type of deer, do the antlers fall off every year? great photo, loved to see the face

This deer is truly sweet, and I especially like the way it is posing for you. I also like so much the color of the spring grass, and how well the animal is standing out from it.

The photo is sharp and it is such clear and well defined details to be seen in every part of the deer. The exposure is just spot on.

I also like the format you have cropped the photo into and also the placement of the deer within the frame. I think this is a truly lovely and well taken photo with an excellent DOF, and I wish you luck with the contest.
