Nik,
A beautiful sunlit picture of the Family walking across the river Wharf on stepping stones with the beautiful ruins of the Augustinian Bolton Abby rising up on the bank of the river with the many grave stones inside the perimeter fence. Given the Abbey age I'm sure on dark windy nights in winter you can imagine or actually see ghosts some in the habit of an Augustinian Friar, walking about.. The Reflections on the river behind the family crossing are an added bonus. Artistic composition, framing& lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

This is such a lovely and idyllic scene Nikman, and you have pictured it so well. The Bolton Abbey is a beautiful background and the father with children walking past is ever so charming.
The sky looks great, and you have also captured such a fine shine in the water. The photo is sharp and it is such clear and well defined details to be seen all over. The exposure is perfect.
The format and framing is very good, and with the Abbey off to the left, it is a fine balance in the composition. A truly lovely and well taken photo, and with an excellent DOF.

Right, a very nice situation and a great picutre to show the entire region with such a human special moment, as they are crossing the entire picutre - you had a great distance, perfect angle ad position to create such a harmonious view point with anture and the building bringing totally life into it with these people

A very fine shot. The family in the foreground clearly demonstrates the use of stepping stones. A beautiful scene with great detail in the remains of the abbey and great colors.

How the children and their dad walk the path through the water is intriguing. Apparently, they enjoy their family outing. The ruins of the historic Abby and the well maintained landscape are interesting. The reflection in the water are superb. Your photo is excellent focused and exposed and has impressive depth. I enjoy the realism of color and light and the refinement of detail. The landscape is well composed and framed. The composition is balanced.
