Thanks so much for your generous rating and comments, much appreciated! I took this as a normal shot -standing a few feet from the trees but I used a telephoto lens to capture more details upfront with a soft blur to background. The swirl effect through a photo program.

Your abstract is intriguing. This aspen looks like a creature with many arms. The autumn colored thing behind the aspen looks like another creature with curled hair everywhere. You created something entirely different from the original photo, which makes the viewers think about the meaning of your creation. The colors are pleasant. The abstract is well composed and framed. The composition is balanced.

You created something entirely different from the original photo, which makes the viewers think about the meaning of your creation. The colors are pleasant. The abstract is well composed and framed. The composition is balanced.

Absolutely beautiful photograph of his aspen with great circular patterns.
It looks natural and the colors are spectacular. Great use of mixed media to enhance the natural beauty and talking it one step further, creating such a unique, abstract presentation.
Great composition and overall pleasing to view.

Excellent post processing work here. The swirling effect is perfect for the leaves and I like the way the main tree stalk is retained and anchors the swirling leaves. Obviously a very fine original shot with great color, lighting and detail. Best of luck in the contest.
